Samsung teases 'amazing' camera in new flagship phone

A month ago, I wrote about the iPhone's camera and how instrumental it is to many of the things that make that bestselling device so appealing. Today, Apple's most direct competitor, Samsung, has reiterated its long history of developing cameraphones and promised to deliver nothing less than "the future of cameras."

Samsung Smart TVs forcing ads into video streaming apps

Unwanted advertising is par for the course when you're watching broadcast TV, but do you expect it to be pushed into your lounge room by the TV itself?
Reports are emerging that Samsung smart TVs have begun inserting short advertisements directly into video streaming apps, with no influence from the third-party app providers.

Samsung's smart TVs are inserting unwanted ads into users' own movies

Samsung's smart TVs have already come under fire this week for a poorly-worded privacy policy that apparently let the devices listen in on owners' conversations. Now, there are reports that the sets are inserting ads "every 20-30 minutes" into users' own, locally-stored content.

Latest Samsung Galaxy S6 leak shows a surprisingly iPhone 6-like design

The usually reliable SamMobile website has published a new shot of Samsung’s eagerly awaited Galaxy S6 smartphone.
And, as you can see, the rendering looks a lot like the design of the iPhone 6. Keep in mind that this render shows the shape of the device; the build might be metal, which would make it look even more like Apple’s new phones.

Samsung's Gear VR will soon keep Qantas first-class passengers entertained

Offering iPads as in-flight entertainment systems is so 2014. Australian carrier Qantas will soon welcome a new breed of gadget onboard -- the Samsung Gear VR, along with a Galaxy Note 4 to power it. The phone's loaded with a special app that shows you 360-degree views of the carrier's first-class lounges and even a virtual reality boat ride. You can also use it to watch a movie, but unfortunately, if you want to marathon House of Cards, you'll have to use your own laptop or tablet for that. See, the bad news is that there will be a limited number of Gear VRs available, and it's not accessible to everyone flying Qantas: only folks in Business Class aboard an Airbus A380 going from LA to Sydney or from Melbourne to LA can borrow one. Even then, they're expected to use it only for a limited time, so other people can take their turn.
