Earlier this week, some Pi 2 users found that their devices turned themselves off when photographed. When the Raspberry Pi Foundation started to look into the issue, it found that the kind of light emitted by a camera flash could cause the processor's core voltage to drop, turning the Pi 2 off.

A week ago, began selling of advanced models of mini-computer Raspberry Pi 2, but the first customers came to an unexpected problem. It turned out that the board does not stand the light from a xenon flash camera.

Microsoft has announced it will be offering the latest version of its desktop OS, Windows 10, free to users of the Raspberry Pi microcomputer later this year — as it seeks to keep pace with, and remain relevant to, developments powering the Internet of Things (IoT).

Microsoft is throwing its weight behind the newly announced Raspberry Pi 2 today. The Raspberry Pi Foundation's low-cost computer was an instant hit when it first debuted in 2012, and the new Raspberry Pi 2 now includes a more powerful processor and twice as much RAM.
