A woman in Sichuan province's Chengdu city
allegedly hired several people to imitate her mother in order to illegally sell
her mom's properties from 2005 to 2009, reports the Chengdu Business Daily.
According to the Chengdu Public Security
Bureau (PSB), the daughter submitted counterfeit documents in order to gain
notarization authority or the sale of her mother's homes. After succeeding in
being able to sell the first house in 2005, she secured a mortgage for another
two homes totaling $410,000 yuan (US$66,460) from the Bank of China and the
Agriculture Bank of China in June and July in 2009. Then on July 28, 2009, she
used the same tactic to sell another of her mother's homes and that time
mortgaged it for $240,000 yuan (US$38,904).
The mother, upon discovering what was
taking place, filed an appeal to the courts hoping it could nullify her
daughter's transactions. The Chengdu judicial court, however, dismissed the
case."The woman hired by the daughter to imitate the mother had an ID that
was too good as a counterfeit," said Yang Dehuei, a representative of the
Chengdu judicial court, which was why the Chengdu judicial court dimissed the
case. Also, Yang said that in the opinion of the court, the homes purchased by
the third parties are legally binding and the court needed to help protect them
as well.
