Many of the users have already reported this issue to Samsung, which is yet to issue an official statement on the matter. It’s possible that the company might address this through a software update but so far it’s unclear if that’s going to happen or not.
Users complain about aggressive RAM management by the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge to the point that apps are shut down automatically even when the user wants them to keep running in the background.
As you can imagine this can prove to be a nuisance if the user has to repeatedly relaunch applications that they have minimized to the background, but unfortunately there seems to be no way past this on Samsung’s latest flagship.
At any given time there’s 200-400MB of free RAM on the device, despite that the apps are constantly being shut down. We’ll have to wait and see if Samsung decides to change this behavior through a software update.
