Facebook says the videos that play automatically in your News Feed make for "an easier way to watch," but it's highly unlikely you want every native video in your stream coming to life.
If automatically playing videos drive you insane, we can help. With only a few simple tweaks in your settings, it's easy to keep clips static as you scroll through your feed.
Have a look through our easy-to-follow walkthrough below to learn how to turn off auto-playing videos — on both web and mobile.
On the web
Click on the down arrow icon at the top-right of your Facebook homepage. Scroll down the menu, and click "Settings."
